Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Strile mobile application and website. The service is provided by Dawid Rożenek (sole proprietorship (Poland, CEIDG), NIP 6472578181). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms.

1.General provisions

  • “User” — any natural person who creates an account or otherwise uses the service.
  • “Consumer” — a User acting for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession, as defined in Art. 22¹ of the Polish Civil Code.
  • “Service” — the Strile mobile application, website at https://www.strile.app, and related features.

2.Formation of the contract and eligibility

The contract for the provision of electronic services is concluded when you successfully register an account in the Strile mobile application. Registration is free of charge. You may use the service only if you have legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.

The minimum age to register is 13 years. If you are a minor under the law of your country of residence (in Poland and most EU Member States — under 16, per Art. 8 GDPR and Art. 4a of the Polish Data Protection Act of 10 May 2018), you may use Strile only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By creating an account, a minor represents that the required consent has been obtained.

If you are the parent or legal guardian of a Strile user who is a minor in your jurisdiction, you agree to be fully responsible for the acts and omissions of such user, including compliance with these Terms and payment of any fees that may arise.

3.Technical requirements

To use the service you need:

  • A device running iOS 15 or later, or Android 10 (API 29) or later.
  • A stable internet connection.
  • A valid email address.
  • Optionally: an account with one of the supported fitness platforms (Garmin, Suunto, Polar, Fitbit, Whoop, Oura, Ultrahuman, Apple Health, Google Health Connect).

4.Scope of services

Strile provides the following features:

  • Activity tracking, synchronization and history (GPS, HR, pace, elevation, etc.).
  • Personal statistics, training load, personal bests.
  • Community features: follows, leaderboards, group challenges, comments, likes.
  • AI Coach — personalized training recommendations generated with Google Gemini.
  • Data export (ZIP archive with JSON and FIT files).
  • Beacon — optional short-lived live activity sharing via a link.
  • Push notifications about your training and social activity.

Paid tier. Strile offers part of the feature set as a paid plan, Strile Premium (see section Fees and Premium plan). The remaining features stay available free of charge. Changes to the free-tier scope or Premium pricing are announced at least 14 days in advance via email or in-app notice and never apply retroactively to already-paid billing periods.

5.Fees and Premium plan

Free tier. Most Strile features (activity tracking, history, personal statistics, community features, data export, Beacon, push notifications) remain free.

Strile Premium — scope. Premium unlocks: (i) AI Coach, including Google-Gemini–generated insights, the training-plan wizard based on user goals, and completed-session reviews; (ii) enrollment in catalog training plans marked as "Premium".

Pricing and billing period. Strile Premium is offered as a monthly or annual subscription. Prices shown in the app and on /pricing are gross prices in PLN with VAT included. For purchases via Apple App Store or Google Play, the local currency and price displayed by the store apply and are set by the store operator.

Free trial (14 days). New subscribers receive a 14-day free trial (one per account and store). After the trial ends, the subscription automatically converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

Auto-renewal. The subscription renews automatically for another period of the same length and price until you cancel. Price changes are announced at least 14 days in advance and apply only to billing periods starting after the change date.

Cancellation. You can cancel any time:

  • iOS: Device Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Strile → Cancel.
  • Android: Google Play → account → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Strile → Cancel.
  • Support: for subscription issues, email support@strile.app.

Cancellation stops auto-renewal — access to Premium features remains active until the end of the paid period. Refunds for unused time are granted only to the extent mandated by applicable consumer-protection law.

Billing complaints. Payment issues, incorrect charges, or activation trouble should be reported at support@strile.app. The full complaints procedure is described in the Complaints section.

Store commissions. Strile Premium subscriptions are sold exclusively through Apple App Store and Google Play. The invoice is issued by Apple or Google under an agent model.

6.Third-party integrations

Strile integrates with third-party platforms (e.g., Garmin Connect, Apple Health, Google Health Connect). Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and privacy policies; we have no control over their service availability, data accuracy or policies. If a third-party platform becomes unavailable or changes its API, affected features of Strile may be suspended or discontinued.

7.Medical disclaimer — important

Strile is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. All information presented in the service — including heart-rate, HRV, sleep, cycle, training load, AI Coach recommendations and self-reported wellness data — is provided for informational and motivational purposes only and must not be relied upon as a substitute for professional medical advice.

Before starting any new training program, significantly changing your exercise routine, or acting on information provided by the service, consult a qualified healthcare professional. Particular care is required if you:

  • Have a known or suspected heart condition or high blood pressure.
  • Are pregnant, trying to conceive, or experiencing menstrual irregularities.
  • Have endocrine, metabolic or musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Are recovering from injury, surgery or illness.
  • Are under 18 years of age (see Children section of the Privacy Policy).

If you experience chest pain, dizziness, shortness of breath or any other worrying symptom during exercise, stop immediately and seek medical attention. Strile, its operator and contributors accept no liability for decisions made in reliance on data or recommendations presented by the service.

8.User-generated content

You retain ownership of the activities, comments, messages, photos and other content you upload (“User Content”). By uploading User Content you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display and process it strictly for the purpose of operating the service (including moderation, displaying to other users in leaderboards or groups you join, data export to you).

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to share the User Content and that it does not infringe third-party rights or applicable law.

9.Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

  • Upload fabricated or manipulated activities (bots, manual fabrications, GPS spoofing) in order to game leaderboards or challenges.
  • Post spam, hate speech, harassment, unlawful content, or sexual content.
  • Infringe intellectual-property, privacy or other rights of third parties.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape or exceed reasonable use of our API outside documented channels.
  • Attempt to circumvent technical limits, rate limits or access controls.
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable sanctions.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the breach.

10.Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for the service in any 12-month period is limited to the total amount of fees you paid in that period (currently zero, since the service is free of charge).

Consumer rights. Nothing in these Terms limits the statutory rights of Consumers under Polish law (including the Polish Civil Code and the Consumer Rights Act of 30 May 2014) or under EU consumer-protection legislation. Where a limitation above is unenforceable against a Consumer, it is replaced by the minimum permitted by law.

11.Intellectual property

The "Strile" name, logo, app design, source code and proprietary documentation are the intellectual property of Dawid Rożenek. No part of the service may be copied, reproduced, or redistributed without prior written permission, except where permitted by mandatory law (e.g., fair use, quotation).

12.Complaints and dispute resolution

You may submit complaints to support@strile.app. Please describe the issue and, if possible, include screenshots or step-by-step reproduction. We will respond within 14 working days.

Consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

13.Termination

You may terminate the contract at any time by deleting your account (see the Privacy Policy for the current deletion procedure). We may terminate the contract with 14 days' notice in case of a material breach of these Terms, or with immediate effect in case of a severe or repeated breach (e.g., fraudulent activity, harassment, security attacks).

14.Right of withdrawal (Consumers)

As a Consumer established in the EU, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of registration without giving any reason, in accordance with the Polish Consumer Rights Act of 30 May 2014.

Because Strile is a digital service and its features start being delivered immediately upon account creation, we will ask you to confirm your request to begin performance before the 14-day window ends. If you explicitly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you will lose the right of withdrawal, you will lose that right once the service has been fully performed. Until then, you may withdraw by sending an email to support@strile.app from your registered email address.

Strile Premium subscriptions. The 14-day withdrawal window runs from the first paid charge (i.e. the day after the free trial ends). At checkout you explicitly consent to immediate performance of the digital service (AI Coach / Premium training plans) during the withdrawal window and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed during that billing period. Cancelling renewal (in Subscription settings) is available at any time without cause.

15.Changes, governing law and jurisdiction

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced at least 14 days in advance via email or in-app notice. If you continue to use the service after a change takes effect, you are deemed to have accepted the updated Terms; otherwise you may terminate the contract before the change takes effect.

These Terms are governed by Polish law. Disputes with Consumers shall be resolved by the court competent for the Consumer's place of residence, in accordance with applicable procedural rules. Disputes with non-Consumers shall be resolved by the court competent for the Service Provider's registered seat.
